UNITED Utilities have apologised after residents living in the Folly Lane area of Warrington were left without water supplies at the weekend following a leak.

Supplies had to be turned off as United Utilities arrived at the scene to repair a reported leak during the early hours of Saturday.

A water tanker arrived to assist with local supplies, while bottles of water were also handed out.
Supplies were back on by Saturday evening and temporary road closures have been removed with further reinstatement works scheduled for later this week.
A United Utilities spokesperson said: “A leak was reported on Folly Lane, this is now repaired and water supplies are back to normal. We apologise for any disruption to supplies while the work was carried out.
“Our team will be back there early this week to complete the reinstatement works.”
