Care home presents £1,000 to homeless support project

WESTVALE House care home in Warrington has presented the “Homeless Support Project-Leigh” with a cheque for £1,000 towards furniture and dining chairs for the charity’s project improving the lives of homeless people

The grant was awarded by Barchester’s Charitable Foundation, a charity that helps older people and adults with a disability or mental health problems by offering grants to help people connect or re-connect with others in their local community.

The care home welcomed members of the charity to a small gathering in the home’s conservatory to receive the cheque and celebrate being awarded the grant.
Paul Bibby, chief executive of HSP-Leigh, said “The money will help us to provide a much more comfortable setting in which we continue to deliver meals and shelter to the people we support. We are really grateful to Barchester for awarding us this grant, this will go a long way to support the beneficiaries of this group”
