Woman and two children escape property following arson with intent to endanger life

POLICE are investigating a suspected arson with intent to endanger life incident after a woman and two children escaped from a property at Bewsey, Warrington, last night.

At 18:37 one crew from Warrington was called to reports of a house fire on Albury Close, Bewsey, Warrington

Police were in attendance as the fire was believed to have been started deliberately. Crews extinguished the fire and all persons were accounted for. There was minor fire damage to a window.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “Sometime between 6pm and 6.43pm on Tuesday, January 24, police were called to an address in Albury Close, Warrington.
“This was following reports of arson with intent to endanger life.
“A woman and two children managed to escape from the property unharmed and Cheshire Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire.
“The fire caused minor damage to the window.”
