FIREFIGHTERS from Warrington were called out yesterday afternoon to tackle a chimney fire at Hood Manor.

Shortly before 4.30 pm, one crew was called to reports of a chimney fire on Hood Lane North.

Firefighters used a hose reel water jet to extinguish a fire in the chimney of a tiled-roof domestic property.
After the fire was put out, they used a thermal imaging camera to check it had not spread to other parts of the structure.
