Costly trip to the takeaway as vehicle seized

0

IT proved to be a costly trip to the takeaway for two motorists in Stockton Heath last night, including one who had his vehicle seized by police.

Not long after leaving Stockton Heath police station, last night two of the South Beat Team spotted two vehicles on London Road that appeared to have broken down- well the hazard lights would give that impression.

What they did in fact find was the drivers had left them and had just nipped to collect a takeaway and ‘had only been gone a few minutes’.
The first driver found she would be taking away a Traffic Offence Report with her food for the offence.
The second one would also have faced the same outcome but it turned out he had no car insurance, so his car was seized and taken away instead.
He will be summoned for both offences.
