Man charged following Orford Lane stranger rape incident

DETECTIVES investigating the rape of a woman at her Warrington home have charged a man in connection with the incident.

Petrus-Ionut Apostoae was arrested on Monday 5 December.

The 24-year-old of Gorsey Lane, Warrington, has since been charged with two counts of rape and one count of burglary.
Apostoae was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court tomorrow, Wednesday 7 December.

The charges relate to an incident at an address on Orford Lane on Sunday 2 October.

NEWS | Detectives investigating a stranger rape in Warrington on 2 October have charged a man in connection with the incident.
