STAFF and pupils at Alderman Bolton Primary School in Latchford, Warrington, are celebrating another successful inspection report.

Ofsted visited the 305-pupil Warrington Primary Academy Trust school in early October and the school learned this week that it had maintained its ‘good’ rating.

The inspection report noted that children were happy and safe in school and that pupils felt a strong sense of belonging in what they described as “a caring school”.
The report added: “Staff have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour. Pupils rise to these expectations. They are polite and well behaved. Classrooms are calm spaces where pupils enjoy learning. Pupils learn well.”
It went on: “Leaders and teachers are aspirational for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
“Leaders provide a well-designed and ambitious curriculum which gives pupils the knowledge and skills that they need to be ready for secondary school.”
The report added: “Trustees and governors skilfully provide effective support and challenge to leaders. Staff were overwhelmingly positive about leaders’ support for their workload and professional development. Staff are proud to work at this school.”
Head of school Sarah Morris said: “We are very proud of the report. Our hardworking and dedicated staff and governors are relentless in their efforts to ensure all pupils are supported and thrive during their time at our school. It is reassuring that these efforts have been recognised by the Ofsted inspection team. It was also lovely to read the inspector’s comments on the kindness and politeness of our pupils, and the curiosity and love of learning that our children show from nursery right up to Year 6.”

Alderman Bolton Primary is one of eight primary schools that make up Warrington Primary Academy Trust (WPAT), a community of more than 2,300 children aged 2 to 11. WPAT was formed in 2016 and quickly developed a national reputation for excellent standards. WPAT provides staff at all of its schools with support, expertise and professional development so that they can provide the very best education standards for their children.
