VANDALS are being blamed for a blaze on playing fields at Warrington last night.
About 30 square metres of scrubland was ablaze when fire crews reached the scene at Bennett’s Recreation Ground, Station Road, Padgate and a number of trees were damaged.
Firefighters use a hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
Officers at the scene believed the fire, which was well alight when they arrived, had been started deliberately.
