Up to six weeks of road works underway on London Road , Appleton

UP to six weeks of road works are underway on London Road, Appleton, Warrington with evening closures from 7 pm to 1 am.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of which will be as follows: Prohibition of Driving & Clearway: A49 London Road from its junction with Lyon’s Lane to its junction with Fairways; Temporary Suspension of The Borough of Warrington (Quarry Lane) (One Way) Order 2009 in its entirety.

The Order is for up to 6 weeks, between 7 pm and 1 am, as and when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Lyon’s Lane, Broom Avenue, Longwood Road and vice versa. The restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing.
