WARRINGTON town centre and surrounding roads were brought to a standstill earlier this morning, due to multiple swing bridge closures.
The closures, which are believed to have been scheduled closures, affected the A50 Knutsford Road, A5060 Chester Road and A49 London Road bridges at around 8am.
There were also reported issues of traffic light synchronisation problems on Mersey Street, which further added to the delays.
Swingbridge Alert
A5060 Chester Road Swingbridge will close to traffic in about 35 minutes, then A49 London Road and A50 Knutsford Road bridges.
