Police issue warning after young cyclist riding without lights involved in collision with bus

POLICE are warning of the dangers of riding a bike without lights after a youth was taken to hospital following a collision involving a bus.

It is understood the incident occurred at Appleton earlier in the week.

Local police posted on social media: “These are the consequences of riding your bike at night with no lights. A youth was taken to hospital after this altercation with a bus. Please ensure you have working lights on your bike during the hours of darkness.”

It’s understood the youth suffered minor injuries and although shocked is now recovering.
