WARRINGTON based Akme Securitas (Cyprus) Ltd has secured a prestigious contract with a chain of shops on the holiday island.
The security company has landed a contract supplying 21 shops from Paphos to Nicosia with high tech CCTV and intruder alarms supplied and fitted by Akme’s own technical team of engineers.
Jeff Greenwood (pictured) owner and chief executive of Akme Securitas Cyprus Limited, who also owns Akme Security UK Limited with it’s head office based in Warrington, said: “We have managed to overcome many challenges here in Cyprus.
“It wasn’t easy setting up business, but we persevered. All our operatives are fully trained and licensed including myself, as per The Republic Of Cyprus Law and it has all been worthwhile.
“Beating some of the leading security providers based here in Cyprus has been a fantastic achievement with only 15 months trading experience here, so much has been achieved in such a small amount of time, with this contract being the icing on the cake.
In the same week Jeff has been appointed chairman of the Kyniras Business Club, a non-profit business referral club with over 30 members, who are leading professionals within their own fields, not only giving each other business opportunities but taking their local community responsibilities very seriously by donating generously to good causes.
Meanwhile Jeff has been honored by being appointed the first male judge for the forthcoming Cyprus business woman of the year 2011 award, hosted by the British High Commissioner and Mrs Kidd at their residence on the island.
