Candle believed to have started house fire

A CANDLE falling onto a book shelf is believed to have started a fire at a house is Slater Street, Warrington.
Fire engines from Warrington and Stockton Heath went to the fire yesterday and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the blaze in the front room of the property.
Everyone in the house was accounted for, although one person suffered from slight smoke inhalation and was given oxygen therapy by firefighters.
Gas and electricity supplies were isolated and a ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property. A thermal imaging camera was used to check there was no heat spread.
