A DRIVER was trapped in his car after it careered off the road and collided with a tree near Warrington.
The crash was in School Road, Antrobus and involved only one vehicle.
Fire crews released the man and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police closed the road for a time while emergency workers made the vehicle safe and removed debris.
