A NEW bus company operating the school service has been stopped from taking shortcuts through residential streets in Stockton Heath.
Drivers had been turning off London Road and taking a shorter route through Orchard Street, Cawdor Street and Whitefield Road – rather than the approved route to the village centre and then along Walton Road.
Parish councillor Stephen Taylor said that following complaints from residents, the company had been told drivers must use the approved route.
