Fire crews help rescue dog stuck in open water near Walton Gardens

FIREFIGHTERS helped rescue a dog stuck in open water down an embankment at the Bridgewater Canal near Walton Gardens.

A 17:25 yesterday fire crews from Lymm and Warrington and Animal Rescue Unit from Lymm, attended at Walton Lea Road, Warrington

The crews made their way on foot to reach the area and rescued the Spring Spaniel named “Libby” that had got stuck down an embankment in open water.
Swift water technicians brought her back to safety and her owner.
