A 39-year-old man arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of the murder of Carl Chadwick, at Warrington, has been freed on bail.
After being interviewed by detectives, the man has been granted bail until April 5.
This means three people have now been arrested in connection with the killing and then released on bail.
A 32-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested shortly after Carl’s murder, on January 29, and were bailed until Tuesday next week (March 8).
Carl, known locally as “Dancing Carl” because of his happy-go-lucky nature, was found dead at his home in Grasmere Avenue, Orford. He had been stabbed and strangled.
Police believe he was murdered by someone motivated by theft. It is believed he may have had a large amount of money in his house.
A £30,000 reward has been issued for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer.
Anyone with any information about the murder is asked to call police on 0845 458 000 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
