THE Westbrook Big Party returned to Gulliver’s World earlier this year raising more than £1,200 for a well-deserving charity.

This is the sixth year the popular event, for people from the WA5 area, has taken place and it saw 2,000 local people attend and £1,210 donated to The British Heart Foundation.

Alan Guthrie, the organiser from Westbrook and Callands Communities, said: “We were thrilled to welcome our local community to this popular family-friendly event.
“Gulliver’s World has kindly hosted it for the local community since its inaugural event in 2016 and this year was one of our best yet! We were delighted to raise this significant amount of money for The British Heart Foundation.”

The Westbrook Big Party, held in June, was officially opened by the Mayor of Warrington along with St Phillips choir and included local community groups and clubs including the British Heart Foundation, Culture Warrington, LiveWire, The Land Trust and local Scout Groups.
Mel Burrows Carr, resort manager at Gulliver’s World said: “It was fantastic to welcome more than 2,000 local people back to Gulliver’s World for this fabulous family event.
“We know how much work Alan and the team of organisers put into getting this event right for the local community and it is a great opportunity for people to find out more about the clubs, activities and events that are right on their doorstep, as well as raising money for charity.”
