POLICE are investigating after two suspected arson attacks in Warrington yesterday.
One fire engine from Warrington went to a blaze in a park off Brathay Close, off Poplars Avenue shortly before 6 pm.
The fire had been started using twigs and paper and firefighters put it out quickly before asking police to attend.
Meanwhile, a fire engine from Penketh attended an earlier fire off Widnes Road. This fire involved a quantity of waste material and again appeared to have been started deliberately.
There is no suggestion the two fires were linked.
