THE community recycling tips at Woolston and Stockton Heath have both now re-opened following overnight break-ins earlier this week.
Both tips closed because of damage caused by the break-ins involving the electrics to compactors being cut.
Gatewarth tip was also affected although small amounts of waste ccould still be taken.
All sites have now re-opened following repair works
A Warrington Borough Council spokesperson said at the time of the closures: “The electrics have unfortunately been cut to the compactors at the Community Recycling Centres at Gatewarth, Woolston and Stockton Heath.”
Update 21 September 4pm
Stockton Heath will be fully open from 10am tomorrow morning.
There is still work to do at Woolston to repair the cardboard compactor, but it should be complete by the afternoon.
