WARRINGTON Rylands lost 4-2 for the second time in a week under the caretaker management of Jody Banim.

After a minute’s silence in memory of the Queen, both sides set out to entertain in the late summer sunshine and both teams provided some fine entertainment, some excellent goals, and what more could a fan hope for on a fine Saturday afternoon on an idyllic ground?

Callum Dolan opened the scoring against his former club in the 31st minute firing home from the penalty spot after he had been brought down in the area.

Kallam Murphy equalized for the hosts on the stroke of halftime with a powerful header before Reece Kendall headed Matlock in front on the hour mark.

Ryan Brooke equalized for Rylands in the 73rd minute shooting low into the net but Ioan Evans restored the home sides lead just two minutes later with a solid header that was adjudged to have gone over the line by assistant referee Justice Abaka-Jacobs despite the visitors’ best attempts to clear and protests the goal stood.

To rub salt into the wounds Matlock scored a 4th goal late on when Al Byrne lobbed the ball over Will Appleyard and into the net.
