POLICE have released an efit picture of a man suspected of robbing a Warrington woman of her handbag.
The 67-year-old woman had her handbag stolen as she walking along a footpath near Wasley Close, Fearnhead on Thursday last week (February 17).
The offender, who had a Mongoose BMX bike, approached the woman and grabbed her handbag, saying “I’ll have that bag.”
There was a short struggle and the offender ran off with the bag, leaving the bike at the scene.
The woman was not injured but was badly shaken.
Police say the offender was aged in his late 20s, not very tall with a red, round face and short cropped dark hair.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 0845 458 0000 or confidentially on the independent charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
