UPDATED: AN investigation is ongoing in the hunt for a man who allegedly assaulted a female pensioner during an incident in Warrington town centre following an evacuation at Golden Square on Saturday.
Officers are now obtaining CCTV footage from the shopping centre following the incident in Golden Square Mall outside Primark at 12:30 on Saturday.
There was an evacuation and during this, there was an accusation that a pensioner had deliberately pushed into another female. Words were exchanged and it is alleged that a male has assaulted the 67-year-old pensioner and her husband. The mall was very busy and lots of people were about.
Police are urging anyone who witnesses the incident to contact them on 101 and quote IML1358398.
Meanwhile, officers will be checking the CCTV.
