Road set to close at Orford for up to one week

A road in Orford is set to close for up to a week to allow electrical installation works to be carried out by Scottish Power.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Central Avenue from its junction with East Avenue to its junction with Fitzherbert Street.

The Order will be effective from 14th September 2022 for 1 week, as and when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via East Avenue, Alder Lane, Orford Avenue, Fitzherbert Street and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out electrical installation works.
