Briers in the clear

WARRINGTON Stand-off Lee Briers has been cleared of any serious neck injury after being helped off during Saturday’s disappointing 28-18 Millennium Magic weekend defeat to Huddersfield Giants.
But Centre Matt King (pictured left) must undergo further scans to determine the full extent of his knee injury.
Head Coach Tony Smith said: “He’s done his medial ligament and he’ll have a scan on Wednesday to see if he’s done his cruciate.”
Meanwhile England centre Chris Bridge has been ruled out for up to four weeks with a hamstring injury while forwards Mike Cooper, who damaged a shoulder, Simon Grix
and Ben Harrison, who both suffered “dead legs”, will all be monitored ahead of next Sunday’s Super League game against Hull KR.
