A CHARITY group which caters for divorced, separated and widowed people in Warrington is struggling to survive – despite believing the town has plenty of people who could benefit from its support.
The National Council for the Divorced, Separated and Widowed (NCDSW) is a national charity and has two clubs in Warrington.
But one, based at Alford Hall, off Manchester Road, is struggling.
Vice chairman of the North West region of NCDSW Tony Elsdon said: “We cater for the more mature person, the average age being about 65.
“It is struggling to survive, although it was established about 20 years ago and has served the Warrington community well. It has just elected a new committee but needs more members.”
The club currently has about 30 members. More details can be obtained from the regional website www.ncdswnorthwestregion.co.uk
