A travellers encampment on council-owned land at Howley, one of six currently in the borough, has been served with a police notice to vacate the land by 3 pm today.
The encampment of seven caravans and associated vehicles arrived last Friday, with another encampment of nine caravans arriving at Crab Lane playing fields on Saturday.
At least two of the six encampments, one at Victoria Park and the other on the overspill car park at Orford Hub, have been granted temporary permission by Warrington Borough Council to stay due to health concerns.

The encampment on Victoria park appears to be getting bigger.
If it’s getting bigger and they’ve only been granted leave to. remain longer on health grounds then surely the additional should be moved on immediately. I wish we could get an order to move the council out.
