WARRINGTON Wolves Head Coach Daryl Powell said “some rubbish is being spoken at the moment” when asked if the wheels had come off again during last night’s 32-6 defeat at Wigan Warriors.
During his post-match interview which leaves the Wolves with a crunch home game against Toulouse next week, Powell said he thought his team was “pretty good today” and the scoreline was harsh.
“If we took our opportunities in the first half we could have been 18-4 up.
“Some of the tries we conceded were disappointing and some areas we need to do better and be consistent.
“They took their chances and we didn’t take ours – that was the difference.
He went on to say: “There is a lot of rubbish being spoken at the moment. The boys battled really hard.
“I was really happy with the effort and commitment and the fans got behind the boys and they need to keep doing that.”
Commenting on the forthcoming match with Toulouse and a relegation battle he added: “We just need to win a game next week.
He added: “Some of the criticism is fair but we are building for the future and creating something special.”
Post-match fans once again took to social media to vent their frustration.

Does anybody know what gets said at half-time? Whatever it is results in a second half capitulation week in, week out.

"Unfair criticism" – we've lost 15 games in 22, is that comment some sort of joke? This club never ceases to amaze me. Before anyone says "support the club" I do and continue too, but this season has been nothing short of shambolic from the players.
