Fire crews help rescue swan tangled in fishing line

THREE fire crews were called out earlier today to help rescue a swan tangle din fishing line at Grey Mist in Woolston, Warrington.

Shortly after 3pm crews from Lymm, Birchwood and Warrington attended the site on Bridge Lane, Woolston, Warrington

The RSPCA had asked for assistance in rescuing a swan that was entangled in a fishing line on Grey Mist Lake.

Firefighters from Lymm Animal Rescue unit used a raft to reach the swan and managed to untangle the line and pass the swan to the RSPCA for assessment.

    • What an ignorant comment. A huge amount of media articles use stock photos for illustrative purposes. Do you think they can have people just waiting to take a photo, or maybe following emergency services vehicles ?

  1. The picture caption clearly stated “A previous swan rescue” – Standard newspaper practice to use stock images to illustrate articles.
    God knows what makes you think we would make a story up.
