THREE fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were involved in a fight to extinguish a well-established fire at Cinnamon Lane North, Warrington early today.
The appliances were sent to reports of a house fire shortly before 5am but when they arrived at the scene they discovered it was a disused property measuring some 20 metres by 20 metres.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze and extinguished the flames. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for further hot sports.
A ventilation unit was then brought in to clear smoke from the building.
There were no reports of any casualties but an investigation into the cause of the blaze is under way.
