TWO traveller groups have set up camp at Orford Park, with one group served a notice to leave the site today and another given permission to stay until August 1.
A group of seven caravans on the Jubilee Hub overspill car park have been given permission to stay with the encampment being reviewed on August 1. No details have been given but it is usually for welfare checks.
The second group of 12 caravans on the Jubilee Hub grounds was served with a notice to leave by 3pm today.
Both groups arrived shortly after 16 caravans vacated Dallam playing fields on Longshaw Street.
Meanwhile, a group of three caravans at Statham Lodge car park have also been given a police notice to leave the site.
Bailiffs have also been instructed to remove a group of seven caravans from Great Sankey Parish Field.
Finally, a group of nine caravans that have been at Peel Hall Park since July 16 have left the site and a clean-up request has been made.
