Police continue to appeal for information following fatal collision at Culcheth

POLICE are continuing to appeal for information following a fatal collision at Culcheth involving the death of 17-year-old Ben Smith.

At around 9.30pm on Monday 18 July, officers were called to reports of a collision on Holcroft Lane, Culcheth.
Sadly, 17-year-old Ben Smith, from Irlam, died at the scene.

A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He has since been discharged.
Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone who may have been on Holcroft Lane between 9pm to 9.30pm on that evening.
The same goes to anyone who may have dashcam footage of a blue Suzuki moped or may have seen the vehicle in the area on that day.
