Car torched at Woolston in suspected arson incident

POLICE are investigating after a car blaze at Woolston during the early hours of today.

Shortly after midnight one crew from Birchwood was called to a car fire on Cliftonville Road. It is believed to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze. A powder extinguisher was also used.
After the fire was out they continued to damp down and check for hot spots. Police were also in attendance.
