A number of road closures will be in place across Warrington during August to allow United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs at Paddington, Birchwood and Orford.
Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Hamsterley Close, Birchwood outside property numbers 6 to 10.
The Order will be effective from 8th August 2022 for 2 weeks, between the hours of 9am and 3pm, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs.
Meanwhile, the council also intends to introduce a prohibition of driving on Wilkinson Avenue between its junction with Lock Road and its junction with Patrivale Close at Paddington.
The Order will be effective from 22nd August 2022 for 1 week, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Lock Road, Whitfield Avenue, Terence Avenue and vice versa. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs.
There will also be an order made to introduce a prohibition of driving on Hallfields Road passageway rear of 87 to 103 between its junction with Hallows Avenue and its junction with St Margarets Avenue, Orford.
The Order will be effective from 29th August 2022 for 1 week, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Hallows Avenue, Hallfields Road, St Margarets Avenue and vice versa. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs.
