THE team at the Amazon fulfilment centre in Warrington got together with the borough council to create a bike servicing event for Amazon employees.

The event, delivered by Cheshire Cycles, was funded by Warrington Borough Council and provided free advice and servicing for Amazon employees who cycle to work.
At the event, hosted at the fulfilment centre, Cheshire Cycles helped employees with servicing, new parts and answered questions about road safety, equipment and more.

James Pitt, site leader at Amazon in Warrington, said: “Our latest partnership with Warrington Borough Council was a great success. Many of our team cycle to work and we enjoyed welcoming the experts from Cheshire Cycles to the fulfilment centre to help ensure the bicycles of our employees remain safe and in great condition.”

Employee Ladislav Stransky, who cycles to work and attended the event, added: “As someone who cycles to work, it was great to have Cheshire Cycles visit our fulfilment centre and provide us with their expertise and advice. Thank you to Warrington Borough Council for creating this event – it was so helpful.”

Warrington Borough Council’s cabinet member for transportation, highways and public realm, Cllr Hans Mundry, said: “It was our pleasure to be involved in this event. Encouraging greater safety on our roads is one of our key priorities and I’d like to thank James and his team for hosting this event with Cheshire Cycles.”
