Motorist found in possession of knife on Winwick Road

A motorist stopped by police on Winwick Road, Warrington this morning was found to be in possession of a knife.

The 22-year-old male was arrested by officers from the Road Crimes Unit and taken into custody for questioning on suspicion of possessing a bladed article as an offensive weapon.

Meanwhile in another incident police arrested a 26-year-old female on Dale Lane, Appleton for public order offences. She was taken into custody for questioning.
