Suspended prison sentence for motorist who failed to stop after collision on M62 near Birchwood

A motorist who failed to stop following a collision on the M62 near Birchwood, Warrington, has received a suspended prison sentence and banned from driving for 12 months until an ordinary test is passed.

Jacob Lee appeared at Warrington Magistrates on last week (July 5) and pleaded guilty to failing to stop after a collision and failing to report a collision between 12-11 o f M62 westbound on 16/02/22.
He was sentenced to 14 weeks imprisonment suspended for 2 years, a 12 month disqualification until an ordinary test passed, 35 days of rehabilitation activity, 250 hours of unpaid work, £128 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
