Woman arrested for attempting to drive when nearly four times drink driving limit near shopping centre

POLICE have thanked a member of the public who helped stop a woman who was almost FOUR times the drink driving limit from driving her car near Cockhedge Shopping centre in Warrington.

The 36-year-old female has been arrested for being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle near Cockhedge after providing a breath sample of 139 – the legal limit is 35 mgs.

Police have said “a big thank you” to the member of the public who stopped the female from driving.
