Man arrested after being caught going equipped to steal large quantity of fuel

A man seen acting suspiciously in the Appleton Thorn area of Warrington was arrested by police for going equipped to steal a large quantity of fuel.

Officers stopped the man in the Appleton Thorn area after he was seen to be acting in a suspicious manner.

After searching his vehicle police discovered a large quantity of fuel and siphoning kit. The male was arrested for going equiped to steal.
His vehicle was also seized for being used in crime.
Enquiries are ongoing.

Meanwhile, PCSOs in the Appleton area have also been patrolling around Bridge Lane this evening following reports of a dirt bike riding anti-socially. Please continue to report any sightings through 101 or the online portal. In an emergency always dial 999.
