S'no joke for PCSO!

SNOWBALLING incidents boosted crime figures at Stockton Heath in December – with 43 incidents of crime and anti-social behaviour recorded.
But Police Community Support Officer Ben Blandford said they included 14 acts of anti social behaviour.
He told Stockton Heath Parish Council: “This includes incidents of snowball throwing – a lot of them directed at me!”
There had also been a number of incidents at night near the taxi rank in the village centre – including one of an assault on a female officer.
There were four burglaries – two in sheds and two in homes – and five incidents of criminal damage. He reported that two young women tried to get into village pubs using stolen passports as ID and there was an incident where 18 car aerials were ripped off cars parked in Fairfield Road.
Chairman Cllr Graham Roughsedge said: “The figures are a lot higher than the previous month, possibly because of Christmas.”

  1. ……….”Chairman Cllr Graham Roughsedge said: “The figures are a lot higher than the previous month, possibly because of Christmas.”……………… Better get that Christmas banned then if it creates all this extra work for the Police!! That snowball dodging must be hell for the PCSO too!!

  2. Snowballing..for christs sake !

since man has had opposing thumbs people have snowballed each other..this is not a crime ! and while annoying especialy if from people we dont jknow, its pathetic to raise its status to more than jappery

  3. If you want to detract attention from growing crime rates include a ‘funny’ such as snowballing! There were 43 incidents of crime and anti-social behaviour recorded.

this includes 14 acts of anti social behaviour. Of this 14 some were snowball throwing. How many exactly? and just how serious were the remainder of the 14 ‘acts of anti social behaviour? What type of ‘incidents’ were there near the taxi ranks at night – the assault on the female officer is hardly something that could be made light of! Also, if one person robbed 18 shops he’d be charged with 18 counts of robbery so how does 18 car aerials being snapped off get recorded as ONE incident? Truth is, crime and anti social behaviour are becoming serious problems in Stockton heath but no-one wants to admit it.
