BUSINESSES in Stockton Heath village centre will be asked to fund colourful planted baskets on the railings around Victoria Square.
The parish council heard that Pizza Express had agreed to fund two planters on railings in front of the restaurant at a cost of £413.
Warrington Borough Council has agreed to the baskets being sited there, and will ensure the railings and baskets are secure.
Once the baskets are established the parish council plans to ask other village businesses to fund additional baskets on the railings around the square.

  1. Are these in addition to the 19 hanging baskets and 15 planters that the parish council have just agreed to pay out £3,790 to fill !?! (as reported on here the other day). I’m sure the ones on the railings will look very nice though and they will make great ashtrays ha ha.
