WARRINGTON South MP David Mowat is re-launching the successful jobs club he helped to set up two years ago.
The club will start a fifth session at 1, Stafford Road, Warrington this Saturday at 10.30am.
Run by Karen Gould, of Connect Consultancy, the club draws on the experience and expertise of local businesspeople to help give those searching for a job the edge over the competition.
The Jobs Club has so far helped more than 100 people in Warrington. More than 70 per cent of those who attended earlier sessions subsequently found jobs, started their own businesses or went back into education or training.
Mr Mowat said: “Being on the dole can be immensely frustrating and depressing. When you are constantly being turned down for job offers you can completely lose your self-esteem.
“Many of our past participants have commented that one of the most valuable things about the Jobs Club is that they find out that they are not alone: it gives them the extra motivation to carry on trying to find work.”
All are welcome at the club and further details are available from Anna on 01925 231267 or by emailing a CV to [email protected].

That should come in handy for all the people laid off from NWDA and the public sector by his Government!
There should be more job clubs like this running .. it is an excellent idea !
We would welcome all those from NWDA – after the meetings they are having this week – coming sooner to some than they expected. Please send cv and reserve your place to [email protected]
Through the WELFARE TO WORK PROGRAMME – WORKBIZ CLUB will have it’s own website and we are in the process of sharing our winning success with other communities.
