Bakery plans approved

PLANS for a bakery in a former shop in Stockton Heath have been approved despite objections from the parish council.
The application, by Mrs S Kelly, for a bakery with sales of hot and cold food and drink, is for 6-8 Walton Road.
The parish council had objected on the grounds there would be problems with parking, ventilation, deliveries, refuse storage and collection.
But the application was approved, with conditions, by the borough council’s planning committee.
The conditions include restrictions on opening hours and delivery times, improvements to the refuse system and a scheme for extraction of odour and fumes.

  1. There isn’t a problem with parking in Stockton Heath, they just park everywhere anyway…. the problem is driving and getting past all the parked cars!

  2. Rolfman…..Isn’t a bakery which sells food and drinks also a take away/cafe? By the way a new Italian Pizza take away opened in SH today then which replaces a clothes shop 🙁 Ethel Austins clothes shop is to become a bif offlicence apparently. SO…..Stockton Heath the place to come as long as you only want booze, food, coffee bars and cafe’s, resteraunts, hairdressers and funeral parlours. Oooh but we do have a new TATOO parlour too though 🙂 COOL… wonder if they will use their brains and open at nights and prey on all the drunken louts ha ha 🙂
