Casualty given first aid after kitchen fire at Latchford

FIREFIGHTERS provided first aid after a casualty was overcome with smoke following a kitchen fire at Latchford, Warrington, on Friday afternoon.

Shortly after 5;30 pm, two crews from Warrington and Lymm were called to reports of a fire at a property on Surrey Street, Latchford. The fire involved a kitchen at the property.

The crews used two hose reels to fight the fire and a large fan to remove smoke from the property. First aid was given to one casualty who suffered smoke inhalation.

A thermal imaging camera was also used to check the property involved and those nearby.
