Planners to study extension scheme

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington are to make a site visit before deciding if a plan to demolish a garage to make way for a home extension can go ahead.
The proposal is at a house in York Avenue, Culcheth.
A similar scheme at the same address was recently thrown out but officers are now recommending the slightly amended new plan be approved.
Members of the borough council’s planning committee decided to inspect the site before reaching a decision.
The original plan was refused because of its impact on an adjoining house. The new scheme has been reduced in size. It is intended as accommodation for the householder’s elderly parents.
Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council says the new plan is an improvement on the original but still believes the increase in size of the property would make it large by comparison with neighbouring properties.
