Fire crew called out to deliberate grass fire

A FIRE crew was called out last night to tackle a deliberate grass fire in Warrington.

At around 7:30 pm one crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a grass fire off Hawleys Lane, Warrington.

Firefighters used a water backpack, beaters, and a hose reel jet to extinguish the grass fire.

The fire covered a 10x10m area of dry grass and is believed to have been started deliberately.
