THOUSANDS of people across Warrington turned out to see Jubilee Beacons lit up across the town to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The above picture by ADM942 Photography at Southworth Hall Farm was part of the Jubilee celebrations organised by Croft Parish Council.
Parish Council Chairman Cllr Paul Campbell said: “Proud to take part as Parish Council Chairman at the Jubilee Beacon Lighting in Croft. Many thanks to everyone who came and who helped to celebrate this little piece of history.”
Meanwhile at Lymm villagers turned out in force for the lighting of a Jubilee Beacon organised by Lymm Parish Council.
At Penketh a large crowd turned out for the lighting of the Jubilee Beacon by Parish Council Chairman Cllr. Michael Potts at an event organised by Penketh Parish Council.
Beacons were also lit at Grappenhall Heys and Hillcliffe Appleton

Such a good show in local villages –
Shame there was nothing official by WBC in bank park whilst nearby councils had official ceremonies.
