Death not being treated as suspicious after man’s body found in doorway on Bridge Street

THE death of a man found in the doorway of empty premises on Bridge Street, Warrington, last night, is not being treated as suspicious by police.

The area was cordoned off last night as police responded to a call from the North West Ambulance Service, reporting the death of a man found in the doorway of disused premises on Bridge Street.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 8.30pm on Tuesday, May 31, police received a call from the North West Ambulance Service reporting the death of a man on Bridge Street.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
