Have a say on parish facelift

RESIDENTS who want to have a say on a major environmental improvement programme in Appleton should attend the annual parish meeting on April 19
Lisa Doran, the borough council’s “Look of the Borough” services manager will be attending the meeting to outline the aims and objectives of the scheme.
After that she hopes to meet with parish council members in early June to discuss the programme before it starts on August 15.
The “Look of the Borough” programme involves a specialist team of borough council workers coming into the area to give rundown sites a facelift.
Similar projects in other parts of the borough have proved highly successful.
The Appleton project will take about six weeks.
The parish council’s environment committee is to provide ideas for work to be done and local residents are also invited to make suggestions.
