Firefighters tackle another deliberate fire in wooded area

ONE fire crew from Warrington was called out last night to tackle another deliberate fire in the open, this time in a wooded area at Latchford.

At around 8;10 pm firefighters were called out to a small fire in a wooded area that is believed to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters used a water backpack to put out the flames and police were informed.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident is urged to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Deliberate fires affect our ability to respond to serious incidents, and cause long-term damage to our communities.

Warrington Fire have attended an increasing number of deliberate fires over the Easter Weekend.
